Within the map, there are three different symbols representing places we found suitable for more efficient energy.
The Suns= Fixed Solar Panels, or Laminated Panels
The Red Points= Solar Hot Water Heater locations
The Blue Points= Motion/Occupancy Sensors within high traffic buildings

What we really want to do here on campus is put up solar panels on buildings with flat roofs where they will not only collect energy, but won't be noticed as much as they would if there was a large field of them. We also want to put solar hot water heaters in buildings that don't use excessive amounts of hot water where the system would be useless. We figured on academic buildings that still use hot water, but not in excess. We also want to put in motion sensors in residence halls and other academic buildings where the lights never seem to turn off. Going along with that, we would like to see more efficient light bulbs spread across campus. This doesn't have to be one big project, but a bunch of little ones paid for using the money saved from the initial investment.  These many projects could, in turn, save the university and future students a substantial amount of money in the long run.
